The workgroup on Communication and Information Technologies (CITs) and Foods, recently created by the Galician Technological Platform, intends to explore the possibilities of the CITs driving development of the Galician food sector.
The fields of influence of the CITs are extremely broad, and the best way to discover their importance and imagine our business without computers or internet.
This is a public commission that intends to detect problems and opportunities to launch joint projects related to the CITs among the Platform members.
The group pursues the following goals:
-
Stimulate a culture of innovation in food companies in the trends related to the CITs.
-
Detect, encourage, and support projects arising from the companies and institutions associated with Ptgal.
-
Promote contacts among companies and research centers that lead to the above goal.
To obtain these results the promoters propose an initial methodology summarized in the following points:
-
Initial meeting with those members of Ptgal that are interested in the topic; it intends in this way to define the different collectives involved as well as to prepare a map of interests using a web form.
-
The conclusions of the prior meeting will be presented before the Committee to evaluate the actions to perform in seeking goals.
-
Creation of one or several subgroups for selected projects.
-
Seeking Galician, National and European calls for proposals to establish new projects consistent with SRA (Strategic Research Agenda).
