The workgroups are Ptgal’s tool for active participation. The Organizational structure document indicates the existence of two types of workgroups: public and private.
- The public groups: these perform their work within the priority research lines identified by Ptgal’s Strategic Agenda. They intend to add value to all their members through mutual collaboration and support with different services. Their creation was promoted by the Executive Committee.
They are always open to the participation of all the members of Ptgal interested in developing innovation in these topics. To energize these groups,

is the dynamizing agent responsible for taking the necessary actions to organize and establish them and start their work to create cross-cutting cooperative projects.
- The dynamizing agent visits the companies, directly collecting the needs and proposals of each of them. His work is coordinated with the Technical Secretaries and with the Executive Committee. In addition to the dynamization services, the participants of the workgroups can benefit from services of technological supervision (observatory) and consulting support. Within them, 6 interest Workgroups are operating (please see the data for each group in the following links or the upper horizontal submenu).
FUNCTIONAL FOODS: NUTRITION AND HEALTH
NEW TECHNOLOGIES FOR PROCESSING, PACKAGING AND PRESERVATION

If you are interested in participating in collaborative innovation projects, please send us the Participation Priority Report form, to one of the two Technical Platform Secretaries’ offices.
Remember that it is necessary to register with Ptgal to join the workgroups.
- The private groups: they serve as a stable framework for cooperation in the establishment of consortia to develop R+D+i projects. A private workgroup must have at least an idea of a specific project for authorization of its creation. The participation in these groups is defined by the members of each group.
If you wish to create a workgroup, you must present the application at one of the Technical Secretaries’ Offices. The Committee will evaluate the consortium formed for its approval (no. of Galician companies, collaborations with Galician centers,...) and the correlation of the topics presented with those considered in the AEI (Axenda Estratéxica de Investigación (Strategic Research Agenda - SRA)). The private workgroups can benefit from the different services that the platform offers.
Up to now, the Committee has approved the creation of the following private workgroups:
Food Security - leader AGAFAC
Emerging Technologies - leader COREN
Reclamation of Subproducts and Waste - leader PESCANOVA
Functional Meat Products - leader C.I. GANADERAS y AGRÍCOLAS
Functional Products for Senior Citizens - leader INNAVES
New Raw Materials in Animal Feed - leader NUTER FEED
Creating Whey Protein Microparticles - leader LASURGAL
